Where Kaabo sits in our range, and who it suits
Kaabo sits at the enthusiast end of our performance electric scooters. These are heavier, faster and more capable than a typical commuter model. They reward riders who already understand throttle control, braking distances and how weight shifts under acceleration.
Having tested more than 150 e-scooters since 2008, we'd rarely put a first-time rider on a Kaabo. If you're new to scooters, or your daily trip is a flat five kilometres to the train, a lighter commuter brand will usually serve you better. If you want dual motor punch, adjustable suspension and hydraulic brakes on a longer or hillier route, this is the range to look at.
The Mantis series for fast commuting
The Kaabo Mantis electric scooters are the daily-usable end of the Kaabo ladder. The Mantis Urban is the lightest and most portable option here. It suits riders who want the Kaabo build quality on a flatter urban route without carrying a heavy scooter up stairs.
Step up to the Mantis 10 Plus V2 and you get dual motors, which hold speed better on climbs and longer routes. The trade-off is real. More motor and more battery means more weight. If portability matters to you, weigh that against how often you'll actually need the extra power.
The Wolf Warrior series
The Wolf Warrior X Plus is the daily-drivable Wolf. Compared with a Mantis, it adds larger tyres, more suspension travel and a heavier frame. That changes how the scooter handles rougher surfaces and higher speeds.
It suits an experienced rider who wants a serious scooter for longer runs and mixed terrain, and who has somewhere sensible to charge and store it. It's not the right pick if you carry your scooter onto public transport, or if your route is a short flat commute where the added weight and cost buys you nothing you'll use.
The Wolf King series
The Wolf King GTR and Wolf King GTR Max sit at the top of the ladder. These are dual motor performance scooters built for riders who already know what they want from a Kaabo and have the space, storage and charging setup to run one.
A Wolf King is not a first scooter, and it's not a commuter scooter. It's heavy, it's long and it demands respect on the throttle. If you're choosing between this and a Mantis for your first Kaabo, start with the Mantis. You can see the wider category on our dual motor electric scooters page.
The Skywalker series
The Skywalker sits below the Mantis and suits riders who want the Kaabo build at a lower entry point, without the weight of a Wolf. If your priority is a light, simple commuter and you're not tied to the Kaabo badge, a dedicated commuter brand may suit your route better. Talk to us in store if you're weighing the two.

Every step up buys you more power, better suspension and stronger brakes. Every step up also costs you weight, portability and charge time. Match the scooter to the trip you actually ride, not the trip you imagine.
Where you can legally ride at these speeds
Public-use rules vary by state and territory and may regulate the scooter’s maximum capability, weight and dimensions, as well as where and how fast it can be ridden. Riding below the local speed limit does not automatically make a non-compliant Kaabo legal on public roads or paths. Check the current guidance from your state or territory transport authority and compare it with the specifications of the particular model before riding publicly.
Protective gear is not optional at this level
For high-speed riding on permitted private land, choose a properly fitted full-face helmet certified to an appropriate recognised standard, along with gloves and knee and elbow protection. We recommend full face helmets, gloves, and knee and elbow protection as a minimum. Add proper lights and high-visibility gear if you ride at dawn, dusk or after dark. A crash at 40 km/h is not a graze. The gear you wear is the difference between a bad day and a hospital day.
Tyres, brakes and what wears faster on a Kaabo
Performance scooters chew through consumables faster than a commuter. Higher speeds and torque wear tyres quicker, and a heavier scooter loads brake pads and discs harder. Expect to replace pads, check disc thickness and inspect tyres more often than you would on a lighter scooter. Keep spares on hand from our Kaabo tyres and tubes collection, and book a service if braking feels soft or the tyres are cupping.
Servicing, parts and warranty, including modifications
Scooter Hut is a certified Kaabo dealer, and we stock genuine Kaabo parts and accessories for repairs and upgrades. Servicing is available in our Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane stores, with an authorised repair network for other metro areas.
Scooter Hut is operated by Flux Motion Pty Ltd under new ownership from 1 July 2025. New scooters purchased after that date include a 12-month limited warranty for eligible manufacturing defects. Refurbished scooters carry a three-month warranty. Non-genuine controllers, batteries, firmware changes and unauthorised repairs may invalidate limited-warranty coverage for faults caused by or connected with those changes. Australian Consumer Law rights may still apply where relevant, so speak with the service team before modifying the scooter.
