Daily city commute. If you're mostly riding sealed roads and bike paths under 15km each way, the Icon suits comfort-first commuters and the GO+ suits anyone who needs to fold and carry. Both handle stop-start city traffic without drama.
Mixed terrain and weekend rides. The X EVO is the pick when your routes wander onto gravel, longer distances or hillier terrain. It feels like a full-sized bike on the road but still folds down for weekends away.
Small apartment or shared storage. A folding e-bike changes what's possible. The GO+ is the most compact. The X EVO folds but keeps a full-size ride feel. Both beat leaving a rigid frame in a hallway.

Are Mate E-Bikes Legal in Australia?
Yes. The Mate models we sell are configured to meet Australia's pedal-assist e-bike rules, but it's worth knowing the framework you're riding under.
Australian e-bike law is built around the pedelec standard. That means the motor can be up to 250W continuous power and must only provide assistance while you're pedalling. Motor assistance has to cut off at 25km/h, after which you're pedalling under your own steam. Throttle-only operation is treated differently to pedal-assist and varies by state, so if throttle behaviour matters to you, check your local road rules or ask us before you buy.
