The Scooter Hut Price Drop Guarantee gives you price protection on eligible rideable products purchased directly from Scooter Hut.

If Scooter Hut reduces the advertised price of the exact same eligible product on scooterhut.com.au within 14 days of your original purchase date, you may be eligible to receive the difference as Scooter Hut store credit, subject to the terms below.

1. How the Price Drop Guarantee works

If the price of an eligible product you purchased from Scooter Hut decreases on scooterhut.com.au within 14 days of your original purchase date:

  • Contact Scooter Hut within the 14-day eligibility period.
  • Provide your order number and details of the lower Scooter Hut price.
  • We will verify that your purchase and the price reduction meet the conditions of the Price Drop Guarantee.
  • If approved, the difference between the eligible price you paid and the new advertised Scooter Hut price will be issued as Scooter Hut store credit.

2. What products are eligible?

The Price Drop Guarantee applies to eligible rideable products sold directly by Scooter Hut, including eligible:

  • electric scooters;
  • electric bikes;
  • e-go karts;
  • dirt bikes; and
  • other electric rides.

The Price Drop Guarantee does not apply to:

  • accessories;
  • spare parts; or
  • any other product specifically identified by Scooter Hut as excluded from the Price Drop Guarantee.

3. The product must be exactly the same

The lower-priced product must be the exact same product, model and variant as the product originally purchased.

This includes, where applicable, the same:

  • model;
  • specification;
  • size;
  • colour;
  • configuration; and
  • other product variant.

A lower price on a different model, specification, bundle or variant does not qualify.

4. The price must drop within 14 days

The lower Scooter Hut price must first become available within 14 days of the original purchase date.

You must also submit your claim within that same 14-day period.

Claims made more than 14 days after the original purchase date are not eligible under the Price Drop Guarantee.

5. The reduced price must be a Scooter Hut price

The Price Drop Guarantee applies only to price reductions made directly by Scooter Hut and advertised on:

scooterhut.com.au

It does not apply to:

  • prices advertised by competitors;
  • marketplace sellers;
  • third-party retailers;
  • reseller websites; or
  • other businesses.

Competitor pricing may instead be considered under Scooter Hut’s separate Price Match Policy where applicable.

6. The lower price must be live for more than 24 hours

To qualify, the reduced price must remain publicly advertised and available on scooterhut.com.au for more than 24 hours.

Short-term pricing errors, temporary website errors, incorrectly advertised prices or price changes that remain live for 24 hours or less are not eligible.

The reduced price must also remain publicly available on the Scooter Hut website at the time we assess the claim.

7. What amount will I receive?

If your claim is approved, Scooter Hut will issue store credit equal to the difference between:

  • the eligible product price actually paid by you; and
  • the new eligible advertised Scooter Hut price.

The Price Drop Guarantee applies to the product price only and does not create an entitlement to a refund or credit for unrelated charges, products or services.

8. How is the price difference paid?

Approved claims are issued as Scooter Hut store credit.

Price Drop Guarantee credits:

  • can be used towards a future purchase from Scooter Hut;
  • must be used within 30 days of being issued;
  • are not redeemable for cash;
  • cannot be refunded to the original payment method; and
  • are not transferable to another customer.

Any unused credit remaining after its applicable expiry date will expire.

9. One Price Drop Guarantee claim per eligible purchase

A product purchased using store credit that was issued under the Price Drop Guarantee is not eligible to generate an additional Price Drop Guarantee credit.

The Price Drop Guarantee is designed to protect the customer’s original purchase against an eligible subsequent Scooter Hut price reduction and cannot be repeatedly applied or compounded through subsequent purchases using Price Drop Guarantee credit.

10. How do I make a claim?

To make a Price Drop Guarantee claim, contact Scooter Hut Customer Support at:

info@scooterhut.com.au

Your claim must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.

Please provide:

  • your name;
  • your Scooter Hut order number or proof of purchase;
  • the eligible product;
  • details of the lower advertised Scooter Hut price; and
  • any other reasonable information required to verify the claim.

Scooter Hut will review the claim against the Price Drop Guarantee eligibility requirements.

11. Verification

Before issuing store credit, Scooter Hut may verify:

  • the original purchase;
  • the price actually paid;
  • the date of purchase;
  • the exact product and variant purchased;
  • the new advertised price;
  • how long the new price has been advertised;
  • whether the reduced price remains publicly available;
  • whether the product is eligible; and
  • whether a previous Price Drop Guarantee credit has already been issued in connection with the purchase.

Claims are subject to verification and must meet all eligibility criteria contained in this policy.

12. Promotional pricing and other offers

Unless Scooter Hut expressly states otherwise, the Price Drop Guarantee is assessed against the publicly advertised price of the same eligible product on scooterhut.com.au.

Separate promotional benefits, vouchers, coupons, gift cards, bundled products, free gifts or other offers are not automatically included when calculating a Price Drop Guarantee claim.

Where a promotion changes the contents or overall value of an offer rather than simply reducing the advertised price of the exact same product, it may not constitute a qualifying price drop.

13. Pricing errors

The Price Drop Guarantee does not apply to obvious website, system, typographical or pricing errors.

Scooter Hut may correct genuine pricing errors at any time.

14. Price Drop Guarantee and Price Match Guarantee

The Price Drop Guarantee and Scooter Hut’s Price Match Guarantee are separate policies.

The Price Drop Guarantee protects eligible customers against qualifying Scooter Hut price reductions after purchase.

The Price Match Guarantee applies separately to qualifying competitor pricing in accordance with its own terms and conditions.

Eligibility under one policy does not automatically create eligibility under the other.

15. Store credit

Store credit issued through the Price Drop Guarantee is promotional store credit and is subject to these terms and any other applicable Scooter Hut store-credit conditions.

It:

  • has no cash value;
  • cannot be sold or transferred;
  • cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • cannot be refunded to a bank account, credit card or other original payment method; and
  • expires 30 days after issue.

16. Australian Consumer Law

The Price Drop Guarantee is an additional voluntary benefit offered by Scooter Hut.

It does not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The Price Drop Guarantee relates specifically to subsequent price reductions and is separate from a customer’s statutory rights relating to faulty, defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.
