Love It Guarantee

Effective for eligible products purchased or collected on or after 1 September 2026

We want you to feel confident that you’ve chosen the right ride.

The Scooter Hut Love It Guarantee gives customers the opportunity to carefully test ride or drive an eligible product for up to 2 kilometres and, if it isn’t the right fit, return it within our 30-day return period, subject to the conditions below.

The Love It Guarantee is a voluntary change-of-mind benefit offered by Scooter Hut in addition to any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Who is eligible?

The Love It Guarantee applies to eligible rideable or driveable products purchased directly from Scooter Hut:

  • online at scooterhut.com.au;
  • through a Scooter Hut retail store;
  • over the phone; or
  • through another direct Scooter Hut sales channel.

The product must have been purchased or collected on or after 1 September 2026.

Products purchased or collected before 1 September 2026 remain subject to the returns policy that applied at the time of purchase and must not have been ridden or driven for a change-of-mind return.

Scooter Hut may identify particular products or categories as excluded from the Love It Guarantee where reasonably required. Any applicable exclusion may be displayed on the product page or advised at the time of purchase.

2. How long do I have?

You have 30 days from the date your order is dispatched by Scooter Hut or collected in person to request a return under the Love It Guarantee.

Day 1 is the date of dispatch or collection.

Returns requested outside the 30-day period are not eligible under the Love It Guarantee.

3. How far can I test ride the product?

You may test ride or drive an eligible product for a maximum of 2 kilometres in total.

This allowance is intended to give you a reasonable opportunity to experience the product and determine whether it is suitable for you. It is not intended to provide 30 days of general or recreational use.

A product that has travelled more than 2 kilometres is not eligible for a change-of-mind return under the Love It Guarantee.

Where a product has an odometer or electronic distance record, Scooter Hut may use this information when assessing the return. For products where distance cannot be electronically verified, our technician team may consider the product’s condition and other reasonable information available when assessing eligibility.

4. What condition must the product be in?

To qualify for a return after being test ridden or driven, the product must be:

  • clean;
  • undamaged;
  • in near-new condition;
  • complete with all original components and accessories;
  • free from modification or alteration;
  • free from damage caused by misuse, impact, water exposure, incorrect assembly or improper use; and
  • returned with its original packaging and included documentation where supplied.

Reasonable and minimal signs consistent with a careful test ride of no more than 2 kilometres may be accepted. Significant scratches, damage, excessive tyre wear, damaged components, missing parts, heavy soiling or other signs of use beyond a reasonable test ride may make the product ineligible.

We strongly recommend keeping all packaging for the full 30-day period and taking care when unpacking and repacking the product.

5. Is there a restocking fee?

Yes.

If the product has been ridden or driven for any distance, a 5% restocking fee will apply.

The restocking fee is calculated against the price paid for the returned product and will be deducted from the amount otherwise payable to you.

The fee contributes towards the inspection, testing, cleaning, repackaging and handling required before a returned product can be processed.

A product returned completely unused remains subject to Scooter Hut’s standard Returns Policy.

6. What happens when I return the product?

Every ridden or driven product returned under the Love It Guarantee must undergo an assessment by a Scooter Hut technician.

The assessment may include checking:

  • distance travelled;
  • physical condition;
  • frame, deck and bodywork;
  • tyres and wheels;
  • brakes;
  • controls and electronics;
  • battery and charging operation;
  • supplied accessories and components;
  • evidence of damage or misuse; and
  • overall condition against the requirements of this policy.

Approval of a return is subject to the product meeting the Love It Guarantee conditions.

If the product does not meet these conditions, Scooter Hut may decline the change-of-mind return and arrange for the product to be returned to you. Any applicable return freight costs may be payable by the customer.

7. Refunds, exchanges and store credit

Once a return has been assessed and approved, the available resolution will be processed in accordance with Scooter Hut’s Returns Policy.

This may include, where applicable:

  • a refund;
  • an exchange for another product; or
  • Scooter Hut store credit.

Any applicable 5% restocking fee and other costs permitted under the Returns Policy will be taken into account when the return is processed.

Exchanges are subject to product availability. Where the replacement product has a different price, the customer will be required to pay any difference or will receive the applicable difference in accordance with the Returns Policy.

8. Return freight

Unless required otherwise by law, return freight for a change-of-mind return is the responsibility of the customer.

Products must be packaged securely and appropriately for transport. We recommend using a tracked and insured freight service.

Scooter Hut is not responsible for damage caused to a product while it is being transported back to us by a carrier engaged by the customer.

9. How do I make a claim?

To request a return under the Love It Guarantee, contact the Scooter Hut Customer Support team within the applicable 30-day period.

Please provide:

  • your order number or proof of purchase;
  • the product being returned;
  • the reason for the return;
  • the current odometer reading or distance travelled, where available; and
  • any other reasonable information requested to help us assess the return.

Our team will provide instructions for the return and assessment process.

10. Choose and test your ride responsibly

We encourage customers to research products carefully before purchasing.

Our team can assist with product selection, and customers can also use Scooter Hut product information, buying guides, blog content, YouTube videos and independent third-party reviews to understand differences between models and choose a product suited to their needs.

When undertaking a test ride, customers remain responsible for using the product safely, wearing appropriate safety equipment and complying with applicable road, path and riding laws.

The Love It Guarantee does not cover damage or deterioration caused by accident, misuse, improper riding, modification or failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

11. Australian Consumer Law

The Love It Guarantee is a voluntary change-of-mind policy and operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Conditions such as the 30-day period, 2-kilometre test-ride limit, near-new condition requirement and 5% restocking fee apply to returns made under the voluntary Love It Guarantee. They do not limit any separate rights a customer may have in relation to faulty, defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Relationship with our Returns Policy

The Love It Guarantee forms part of Scooter Hut’s broader Returns Policy.

Where these Love It Guarantee terms specifically permit an eligible product to be test ridden or driven for up to 2 kilometres, these terms take precedence over any general change-of-mind requirement that a product remain completely unused.

All other applicable conditions of Scooter Hut’s Returns Policy continue to apply.
