Australian customers update
Australia Post currently has the largest amount of parcels in circulation in the company's history and is also having delays Australia wide due to the following reasons;
Reduction in air freight capacity and passenger flights a significant increase in parcels volumes hygiene and social distancing requirements in their network Australia Post has stated to help ease delays they are moving more parcels through their road network (to accommodate domestic flight restrictions) and are exploring all available transport alternatives and options, and working with the Australian Government, to minimise impacts for customers
Customers can be assured they will continue to be able to send and receive parcels and mail. Please check the Australia Post website for further updates on shipping.
Express Post guarantee temporarily
suspended
for
Australian Customers
Effective 20th April 2020, Australia Post has temporarily suspended the Express Post guarantee as delays to their service have meant some express parcels have not been delivered within the express time frame.
As Australia Post is unable to guarantee the shipping time for express parcels Scooter Hut has made the decision to no longer offer express shipping for Australian customers. We feel it would be unfair for a customer to pay the additional amount for express shipping for it to only have the same shipping time as a standard parcel.
International customers update
Australia Post is experiencing international delivery delays in all destinations due to limited airline capacity and government restrictions as a result of COVID-19. Australia Post is working with partner airlines and other postal operators to move items as quickly as possible and clear backlog.
Australia Post has recently created enhanced tracking notifications to give greater visibility and to provide the most up to date tracking information for international parcels. These new scanning events are listed below;
Received by air carrier for international departure Delayed - transferring to sea carrier for international departure Item arrived at destination country
Shipping estimates to international countries
Australia Post are making every effort to meet delivery times, however, the changing nature of both airline haul capacity and delivery services in destination countries, regions and territories mean that the delivery estimates below should be used as a guide only. Further delivery delays will occur with countries/cities in lockdown.
The table below will show shipping estimates for countries we are able to ship to, including which countries we can ship via standard post or express post. Parcels sent by both methods of shipping will receive tracking information that is sent directly to the customers email address.
