Spending quality time with your kids is one of the best ways to enjoy your time as a parent.

Getting outdoors and exploring nature is one of the great ways to spend quality time with your little champs, but knowing exactly what to do may overwhelm you.

We'll share with you eight great ways to explore the outdoors with your kids in this article.

Each one is easy, fun, and educational! So keep reading.

1. Go on a Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a great way to get your kids excited about nature. All you need are some basic items like a clipboard, paper, and a pencil. Once you have these, you can list things for your kids to find. Here are some examples:

  • 5 different types of leaves
  • 2 acorns
  • 1 feather
  • 3 stones

You can also add other objects to the list depending on where you are and what you think would be interesting for your kids to find. Once they've gathered all the items on the list, they can trade them in for a prize! This could be something small like a sticker or a treat.

    2. Go on a Nature Walk

This is a great activity for all ages and can be done almost anywhere. Your kids will also learn about different plants and animals. If you're not sure where to start, many nature walks are in state and national parks. You can also find them in some cities.

Don't forget to bring along some water and snacks for energy! And if you want to make the experience even better, bring along a magnifying glass and binoculars. This way, your kids can get an up-close look at different things on the nature walk.

Collect Rocks, Leaves, and Other Objects.

This is a great way to explore nature, and it's also educational. Gather rocks, leaves, and other objects with your kids and help them identify what they've found.
You can even make a game out of it by seeing who can find the most unusual rock or leaf.

      3. Scoot With Your Kids on an Electric Scooter

Riding an electric scooter is a great way to get around with your kids as they enjoy their electric scooter or push/pro scooter. And if you're looking for a fun activity, try scooting along the shoreline! This is a great way to explore the outdoors and spend time with your kids. Just be sure to stay safe and watch out for pedestrians on the footpaths.

If you don't have an electric scooter, you can also try this activity with a push scooter or bike. Scooter Hut has a great collection of various scooter types, so make sure to check it out!

        4.Go Fishing

Fishing is a great way to bond with your kids and teach them about nature. It's also a good opportunity to teach them patience and how to be quiet. If you've never been fishing before, don't worry! Many YouTube videos and articles can teach you how to do it.

        5. Go Camping

Camping is an opportunity to teach them about different animals, plants, and stars.

Here are some tips to get you started:

Select a location: Choose a campsite close to home, so you can easily get there. And be sure to check the weather forecast before you go!

Pack the right gear: You'll need a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, and some food. Don't forget to pack some activities too, like cards or books & be sure to take the kid’s scooters for hours of fun.

          6. Visit a Zoo or Aquarium

A zoo or aquarium can be great options to explore nature without leaving the city. This is also a great way to learn about different animals and their habitats. And if you have young kids, many zoos and aquariums have special areas just for them.

If you're visiting a zoo, pack sunscreen, hats, and water bottles. And if you're going to an aquarium, bring some swim goggles so your kids can see the fish up close.

            7. Plant a Garden

This is a great way to get your kids interested in nature. Plus, it's a good opportunity to teach them about responsibility and patience.
Start by helping them choose some plants that they'd like to grow. Then, help them plant the seeds or seedlings. Water the plants regularly and watch them grow!

You can also use this activity as an opportunity to teach your kids about the different types of plants and their importance to our existence.

            8. Create a ride obstacle course/track

An outdoor activity that is close to home, fun, and affordable is to get creative with a block of chalk.
All you need is a pack of chalk that retails at $3 at your local supermarket.

Draw a scooter riding track in your driveway or local park where the kids can spend hours weaving in and out of the mini roads you have drawn for them.
Don’t worry chalk is environmentally friendly so no negative impact on your local nature strip.

This is a very popular weekend/holiday activity that was a favourite with the kids of the ’90s, we think it’s time to bring it back.

            Final Word:
