3 Things you Need to Know While Choosing Scooter Bars
Do you know the three important things that every rider is looking for in their scooter?
Comfort, convenience and fun.
Without them, a ride isn’t a ride; it’s a struggle.
And, do you know what helps to constitute these three factors?
Yes, without a good handle, grip and appropriate size, how will you be able to drive comfortably and conveniently?
And, well, when those two factors are not met, the question of fun does not even arise.
So, what do you need to know about your bar? Then, how do you choose the best one for yourself?
Let’s see the three points mentioned below for all the answers:
1. Watch out for height
The height of the bar decides your overall experience.
Bars that are above chest height and below weight height are not recommended for any rider.
The ideal bar height is somewhere around the waist. You can manoeuvre your scooter easily from that height as your hand neither steep too low nor elevates too high in the night sky.
High bars can end up hitting your face while you try to stop, and low bars can make you fall forward, so choose a bar of your waist height.
2. Choose an appropriate width
Wide bars help you create your balance and provide comfort, whereas narrow bars are good if you are running for a street scooter competition against your neighbour Bob, as narrow bars facilitate better flips.
But if you wish to enjoy a smooth ride, then the ideal bar width for you is the same as your shoulder width.
However, the so-called street superstars call wide bars “unstylish” as they are not pleasing to the eye.
But, if you don’t care what your neighbour Bob thinks about your scooter then, we recommend you to go for a wider bar.
3. Are you able to grip it properly?
While we are talking about styles and comfort, safety is one major factor that needs to be addressed.
Regardless of what you are buying, whether pro scooter or a car’s mudguard, security should be your top priority.
When it comes to scooters, grip plays an important role. The grip is what keeps you safe when you go for flips or skids. Therefore you should choose a grip that gives you a stronghold on the handle. Be ware that your hands must not slip on it even while sweating.
Scooter rides are fun when you make them safe and comfortable for yourself.
The height and width of your bar should be according to your size.
Riding a scooter that is high in size might actually make you end up injure.
It is best not to take any chances with your safety. Ensure that you can grab the handle firmly and avoid slipping.
So, don’t listen to what Bob has to say about your scooter; analyse the physics of your body and choose your bar accordingly.
