17 December 2019 AUS Post Update
Due to ongoing bushfire activity, Australia Post operations have been impacted in a number of locations in NSW, QLD and WA. Safety is our main priority, and we are reaching out to our people and supporting them through this tough time. We are monitoring the situation closely, and will provide updates as information is made available.
We have been informed that Australia post's major sorting centres in NSW and one in QLD were shut down for a few days the week of the 09/12/19. Due to the poor air quality it was a dangerous work environment for Aus post workers in these facilities. Because of these closures no orders were leaving these facilities or being sent to them either. They have now reopened but this has meant any orders sent last week with Aus post have been delayed by a few days.
Delivery times are a guide only and we recommend ordering as soon as possible to allow for any potential delays through the postal network.
Scooter Hut aims to have all orders packed and dispatched within 24 hours of your order being placed. Please note that during busy sale periods delays up to 48 hours dispatch time may be experienced. As our shipping partners are only collect orders from Monday - Friday, Scooter Hut will process your orders but is not able to ship them during the weekend. Therefore orders placed during the weekend will be shipped on the next available business day.
Orders are dispatched from Scooter Hut’s Gold Coast warehouse on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia via Australia Post. Australia Post are collecting orders from Scooter Hut’s Warehouse three times a day, Monday to Friday during this busy period.
One of the highest priorities for Scooter Hut is to get orders to their customers as soon as possible and therefore we have only the ability to cancel an order up to 12 hours after it has been placed.

Pre Christmas delivery on international orders:
Scooter Hut recommend placing orders as soon as possible to avoid potential postal delays. For the best chance of receiving your orders before Christmas Scooter Hut advises to place your order before the 6th December 2019. All our international orders are shipped with Australia Post and for their up to date shipping information please check Australia Post’s website - https://auspost.com.au/christmas.
Once the delivery lands in the country of destination, the parcel will be handed over to the national postage service of that country, who will then continue the delivery process. You will be able to use the tracking number you have been provided by Scooter Hut in your countries national postage service tracking website.
